Body Mind Centering
Also called “Body-Orientated Therapy of the Mind”“, BMC uses awareness, attention and intention within our body systems and mind states to support our entire selves. This approach to therapy can help us effectively navigate the challenges we face, both internal and external and to experience the joy of dwelling within our bodies from moment to moment even in the face of pain or discomfort.
In our bodies, each and every occurrence of thought, feeling, emotion, memory, action and belief involves changes in pattern of movement, shifts in awareness in the body, and countless transformative processes within our bodies’ systems.
How we experience painful states depends upon how we experience the movements, sensations and activities in the body which correspond to these emotional states. As we learn to expand our awareness to include patterns of micro movements in the body, we alleviate suffering and pain by working directly with our feeling states. We can change our relationship to pain; learn to find joy, and to discover that which sustains interest in and enjoyment of day-to-day life as well as the large transitions and changes inherent to life.
The practice of BODY MIND CENTERING is effected in individual as well as in groups’ sessions or seminars. It consists in various kind of therapy: experience of the bodie’s spontaneous movements (propriocettive and guided), breath work, visualization works and excercises of Bioenergetica
