Cupping is a method to move deep stagnations in the body, suitable for treating many symptoms, from long-lasting chronic pain , to muscle stiffness, colds and bronchitis.
Cupping uses small plastic or glass cups placed along the back, thanks to which a vacuum effect is created which practically "sucks" stagnation from the depths of the body to the surface where it can consequently be removed. This practice has a strong effect on the muscles and the tense and contracted tissue, which can make you elastic.
What is it
Cupping is a technique that originates from traditional Chinese medicine, who uses cups.
How it works
The cups are applied to the back or other parts of the body, they create a vacuum inside them and lift the underlying fabric. It works by moving the cups, or keeping them immobile, so that the tissues are supplied with blood which is drawn by this action, and therefore oxygenated in a short time.
What is cupping used for??
It is useful if the connective tissue and muscles are very tense and contracted, as they lose their elasticity and partly functionality.
In particular, the back muscles that condition the vertebrae benefit from this.
It is also applied to influence the energetic health status of organs, example: bronchitis accompanied by dry cough. With the application of the cups, an improvement can be achieved through the increase in blood flow which helps in the formation of mucus which is used to expel bacteria.
