Origin

Massage colon acts either directly on the affected area, either via re-

flessa.

In the early fifties of last century, Paul Vogler and Herbert Krauss (German naturopaths) and

They began looking for ways

fisioterapici that would allow to reduce the use of drugs. Based on their research devised

massage periosteum for the treatment of pain and the massage of the colon for the care of disorders

digestive.

MASSAGE OF DIRECT COLON

With a specific manualità acts on the smooth muscle in the walls and on the basis of symptoms

the patient is stimulated (sluggish colon, constipation etc.) or sedated (irritable bowel syndrome etc.).

The massage helps to normalize the muscle activity of the colon (peristalsi) and of

harmonize the sympathetic nervous system.

REFLEX MASSAGE OF COLON-TREATMENT PROGRAM

The massage of the colon presupposes the existence of a nervous connection between the internal organs and certain areas of the body surface, the so-called reflex zones.

For the presence of these nerve connections, the disease or malfunction of an internal organ causes alterations in the corresponding reflex area. The targeted treatment of the reflex zones can not only relieve pain and ease tension at the local level, but also to restore the correct functionality of the organs.

The massage of the colon is based on the same principle: the treatment of certain points of the abdominal wall allows to reach the underlying reflex zones in order to mechanically stimulate bowel mobility and to normalize the tone and secretions of the gastrointestinal tract in reflex mode. Colon massage also stimulates circulation, lymphatic vessels and autonomic nervous system.
